Unlocking Salford Quays is a permanent scuplture trail around Salford Quays which tells the story of the area. The sculptures were created by bringing together local communities, artists, performers, writers and historians to help create the trail around The Quays, which preserves and animates the area’s rich industrial and social history for future generations..jpg)
This landmark initiative led by local communities reveals the hidden history of The Quays - from industrial hub to one of the country’s most prestigious waterside developments. Little evidence remains of the once thriving Docks, or the people who lived, worked or played here during that era. Now visitors can follow the sculpture trail to discover a multitude of memories and stories.
