This Saturday the National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port will be open to the public until 9pm! The Museum has 14 buildings and seven and a half acres of land and this will be your first opportunity to see all parts of the museum open so late!
The National Waterways Museum is a magical place at twilight, and to make the evening even more special the Museum will be showcasing their new youth drama group – who will be presenting a range of stories from the characters who make up the rich canal culture.
This very special event is part of Museums at Night, a annual national campaign which seeks to encourage visitors into museums, galleries and heritage sites by simply opening up late or putting on special evening events.
Boat trips will take place at 5.15pm and 6.30pm, and lock demonstrations at 5.45pm.
Adult £6, conc £5, child (5-16) £4, under 5s and Annual Pass holders free. For more information, call 0151 373 4373
