Fans of real ale will be welcomed to the National Waterways Museum in October when it hosts a three day beer festival.
The festival, organised in conjunction with Titanic Brewery, will run from Friday October 7 to Sunday October 9 and will showcase a range of real ales with canal and waterways connections.
Visitors to the afternoon sessions on all three days will also receive museum admission and visitors to the Friday and Saturday evening sessions will be entertained by live music.
Tickets to the festival are available now from the museum and cost £12 – this includes museum admission, two pints of ale or cider, commemorative glass and a programme.
Oliver Briscoe, Marketing Manager at the Museum, said: “We’re excited for this festival – it will be a great addition to our events at the museum and what could be better than real ale and real music in our historic surroundings?”
The National Waterways Museum, at Ellesmere Port, is home to the national collection of historic working boats, some of which visitors can board to explore and find out how the working boat people used to live. The Museum also has a trip boat, hands-on exhibits, films, touch-screen displays, stables, a blacksmith, docks, pump houses, workers cottages and gardens, an archive, a soft play area, Museum shop and cafe.
