History Walk Layar Application
The Harris Museum & Art Gallery has developed an augmented reality tour of the city using the Layar mobile application. The locations on this walk are inspired by the Industrial Revolutionaries exhibition (26 June – 6 November 2010). The walk takes you around the centre of Preston and as well as the Layar App we have designed a number of guides to help you enjoy your walk. You can pick up a printed guide from the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
Using the Harris Museum History Walk Layer, you can experience the tour in immersive 3D space, and find images, information and even 3D buildings in the city. Layar is a free application for iPhone and Android phones. Search for "Harris Museum History Walk" in Layar to find our layer.
