Queen Street Mill Textile Museum
The worlds only surviving 19th century steam powered weaving mill. Bringing steam powered weaving to life.
For their group travel visitors they can cater for coach parties of up to100 with on site parking for coaches and a large car park opposite the museum. They can also provide a buffet for coach parties at £5 per head, with 2 weeks advanced notice and the driver can receive a free meal between the hours of 12pm – 5pm.
Helmshore Mills Textile Museum
Nestling side by side in the quiet village of Helmshore in the stunning Rossendale Valley are two original Lancashire textile mills: Higher Mill and Whitaker’s Mill together known as Helmshore Mills Textile Museum.
There is free parking for cars and coaches. They have a new café, The Coffee Mill which serves fresh food made on the premises. Their re-stocked shop has traditional and contemporary gifts (entry to the café and shop is free). They suggest at least two hours for your visit
British Commercial Vehicle Museum
The British Commercial Vehicle Museum at Leyland, Lancashire is dedicated to preserving the physical evidence of the history of the road transportation industry in the United Kingdom.
The BCVM offers discounted tickets for parties of 12+ (10%) and 24+ (20%) when visiting on public open days or the Museum can be booked for other dates and times for a minimum number of 30 people (no discount tickets). BCVM also offers a combined ticket with 14th Century Manor House, Samlesbury Hall at £18 per person to include a two course lunch.
Towneley Hall, Burnley's Art Gallery & Museum is set in the town's largest park and provides a
wonderful day out for all the family.
Towneley Hall offer group tours Monday through to Sunday. Group tours must be pre-booked between 11am and 3.30pm, evening tours can be booked between 6pm and 7.30pm. The guided tours take around one and a half hours and during the day guests are also free to browse the exhibitions and grounds.The day time group rate is £175 for a group of visitors and evening tours are priced at £8pp.
Refreshments can be pre booked either in the hall or at the nearby stables cafe/restaurant.
